Parking infringement notices are necessary in order to regulate and control the use of parking spaces throughout the City of Suva. Parking and traffic laws apply to ensure the safe and fair use of Suva's roads for everyone’s benefit. Specific parking restrictions and Council’s parking permit system help make parking available for both residents and visitors.

If you park illegally, you risk being fined. Infringement notices can be handed to you, put under a windscreen wiper blade of your car . If you do not pay the infringement notice, statutory costs may be added.
